“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.” (Isaiah 6:8, KJV)  As we move back to our churches after a wonderful crusade, we extend a special to welcome to each of the 130 persons baptized in the Good News Gospel Explosion crusade.  Let us do our best to make them feel at home and to assimilate them into the life of our churches.

A very special thank you is extended to each member who gave of himself or herself and assisted in some way during the Good News Gospel Explosion Crusade.  Thank you for your labour of love and sacrifice to advance the Word of God.  As you go back to your churches, take the same spirit of service with you in helping to grow and expand your local congregation.

As we seek to close out the Crusade, we want to make sure and do a proper evaluation.  In this regards, all crusade coordinators, pastors, personal ministries leaders and head elders are asked to attend a meeting at the Conference Office on Sabbath October 18 at 5:00 p.m.  Kindly be on time, as we will only meet for one hour.

All education secretaries of the local churches are asked to meet with the Conference Education Director on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. Kindly contact the Director at her home or on her cell for the venue for the meeting.

“....for the joy of the Lord is your strength”. Nehemiah. 8:10

“O give thanks unto the Lord for He is good and His mercies endureth forever!”

Mid-day Joy is every Thursday from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Freeport Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Come join us as we give God thanks and praise for the copious blessings He provides for His people each day.

PROCLAIM a male gospel quartet from the Canadian University College will be in concert on Sabbath afternoon at 5:30 p.m. October 11, 2014 at the Shiloh Church. Come and be blessed and bring a liberal offering in aid of the Blessed Hope SDA Church Building Fund. Immediately following the concert parents and students will have the opportunity to learn more about Canadian University College and its offerings.

Blessed Hope Pathfinder Club will hold a Family Fund Day & Cookout, on Monday October 13, 2014 beginning at 10:00 a.m. There will lots of food and lots of fun. Bring your entire family and enjoy the day. Dinner tickets are available for sale. Other items such as guava duff, roti, cakes, and coconut tart will also be on sale. Contact William Rahming at 602-1063 or 533-0613 to reserve your tickets.

All members are invited to take part in a special day of prayer with the global Seventh-day Adventist Church. According to the World Health Organization, the death toll from the Ebola virus in West Africa continues to climb to more than 3,000 in six months. Elder Ted N.C. Wilson, President of the General Conference, urgently implores all Seventh-day Adventists around this globe “to pray for our brothers and sisters in West Africa and for the entire population in that region of the world as they face this virtually unprecedented tragedy. Let us pray that God will put a halt to the spread of this virulent virus.” Wilson has designated Sabbath, October 11, 2014, as a Special Day of Prayer.
